Ingredients
  

Steak

  • 1 lb ribeye steak or any preferred cut
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Beans

  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed

Instructions
 

  • Season the steak with salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust time based on preferred doneness.
  • Remove steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add black beans, cherry tomatoes, and cumin. Stir and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add lime juice. Serve the beans alongside the sliced steak.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of smoked paprika or fresh cilantro to the beans.
