Ingredients
  

Brownies

  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Frosting

  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and cocoa powder.
  • Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in flour and salt until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • While the brownies bake, prepare the frosting: In a bowl, mix butter, milk, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Let brownies cool slightly, then spread frosting over warm brownies.
  • Let the frosting set before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

For an extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake the brownies and let them cool completely before cutting.
