Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups milk dairy or plant-based like almond or oat milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 2–3 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil

Instructions
 

  • Add steel cut oats, water, milk, salt, and cinnamon (if using) to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
  • Secure the lid and set valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
  • Allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  • Open the lid and stir in maple syrup or honey and butter or coconut oil. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings like fruit, nuts, or extra cinnamon.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat with a splash of milk or water to loosen the texture. Make it fully dairy-free by using plant milk and coconut oil.
